General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.
The allocation aux adultes handicapés, or AAH, aims to provide a minimum income subject to conditions. Eligibility depends in particular on age, residence, resources and the assessment of disability.
Prepare the application with the MDPH in your department of residence. The common form can cover several requests; check the documents required for your situation before sending it.
The disability rights and autonomy commission, or CDAPH, examines the application and determines the disability rate under the applicable criteria. An RQTH procedure is initiated when an AAH application is examined.
After the decision, the Caf or MSA handles payment under the applicable conditions. A decision concerning disability alone does not establish the individual amount that will be paid.
Keep the decision and check its duration. A renewal is prepared with the MDPH; ask which documents and timetable apply to your application.
Tell the Caf or MSA about changes in circumstances, such as moving or a change in family or banking details. These may affect your file or payment.
