General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.

The allocation d’éducation de l’enfant handicapé, or AEEH, helps parents with expenses related to a disability in a child under twenty. Its award depends on several conditions relating to the child and their circumstances.

Depending on needs, expenses can concern care, education, help looking after the child or a parent’s reduced working activity. Describe the practical effects when preparing the application.

A supplement may be awarded, notably when the disability causes particularly high expenses. The MDPH commission reviews the file; requesting the supplement does not itself guarantee an award.

Send the application and required supporting documents to the MDPH where you live. The form can be submitted on paper or through the online service if your MDPH offers it.

The disability rights and autonomy commission examines the application. Keep the decision and ask about its duration and the steps needed afterwards.

Other support, including the disability compensation benefit PCH, may be considered depending on the situation. Ask the MDPH how the options and their rules interact before choosing.
