During sick leave lasting more than 30 days, a liaison meeting may be arranged between employee and employer.
This is not a medical appointment. It helps maintain contact and provides information about support for returning to work.
Either employer or employee may initiate it. Assurance Maladie states that the leave counted may be continuous or discontinuous.
The employee may decline to participate without consequences for their employment situation. The employer must explain that attendance is optional.
The occupational health and prevention service may be involved. The meeting can take place in person or remotely.
It can cover possible adjustments or a pre-return visit. This liaison meeting does not replace that medical appointment.
