General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.
After a diagnosis of rotator cuff tendinopathy, treatment starts with medical care. A non-traumatic tendon problem without a tear is managed medically; it does not automatically lead to an operation.
The cuff consists of muscles and tendons around the shoulder. Some changes seen on imaging cause no pain: discuss the findings alongside your examination and actual difficulties.
Ask your doctor which movements to avoid and which activities to continue without markedly increasing pain. Immobilisation is not advised for a chronically painful shoulder; adapt movements to the diagnosis.
Your physiotherapist follows medical instructions and shows you exercises to continue between sessions. Rehabilitation works on movement and strength; it also forms part of care after surgery.
See your doctor again if medicines do not help promptly or pain persists. Explain which products you have taken and how often; ask a pharmacist to check combinations before adding another medicine.
At follow-up, bring the report and describe difficult work or sporting movements. Clarify your rehabilitation programme and when its effect should be reviewed with the doctor.
