General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.
Prescribed compression must fit your legs. The pharmacist measures the ankle and calf circumference and the height of the leg.
Put the garment on in the morning on dry skin. To reduce falls, sit on a stable seat on a non-slip floor.
Position the foot and heel first, then gradually unroll the fabric up the leg. Avoid pulling on the fastening band.
Smooth out folds. A knee-high stocking should stay below the knee and be long enough without needing its edge rolled down.
If application remains difficult or painful, request a demonstration or advice. A pharmacist can explain a stocking aid.
Follow the prescribed wearing schedule and instructions. Tell your doctor about poor tolerance; do not alter the garment yourself.
