To have an adult represent you at a health insurance reception point, check the online or written authorisation and the documents they must bring.

General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.

Unable to visit a CPAM reception point? You can choose an adult to carry out a procedure in your name. Agree together on the specific procedure you are entrusting to them.

The authorisation concerns representation at a French health insurance reception point. It does not replace a medical decision or an appointment booking. Keep your account credentials personal.

In the procedures area of your ameli account, the authorisation service asks for the representative’s identity. You confirm the request; no paper needs to be sent for this online route.

At reception after this online process, the representative presents their own identity document, your social security number and the supporting documents needed for the entrusted procedure.

Without an ameli account, prepare a dated and signed written authorisation identifying the other person. They present it, a copy of your identity document, national identity card or passport, and their own identity document.

The online authorisation is valid for one month and can be revoked through the account. Before the representative’s visit, check with the fund which documents the specific procedure needs.
