General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.

Dead leaves, grass cuttings and pruning residues are green waste. Their plant origin does not make their smoke harmless.

Burning them, especially when damp, releases toxic substances including fine particles. Mixing them with plastic or treated wood worsens pollution.

Open burning and garden incinerators are generally prohibited. Neighbours doing it does not establish permission.

Some plant waste can be used as mulch or compost. ADEME recommends these ways to reuse the material on site.

For the remainder, ask the town hall about recycling-centre or collection arrangements. These depend on your municipality.

Limited exemptions can exist. Have the town hall or prefecture establish whether one applies before deciding, without assuming a local exception.
