General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.
Rainwater collected from a roof can contain pollutants. Service Public classifies it as unfit for human consumption.
Do not use it for drinking, cooking, washing dishes or personal hygiene. Collecting it does not make it drinking water.
Permitted uses depend on the installed system. A tank without an indoor connection is limited to certain outdoor uses, including watering and cleaning.
Rainwater and drinking-water networks must remain separate. An unsuitable connection can contaminate the public supply and expose other users.
Identify outlets marked “eau non potable” and their locking arrangements. Have the responsible person explain the installation before any new use.
For public tap-water quality, consult official results by municipality or ask the town hall. Those results do not describe your tank.
