General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.
The examen de prévention en santé, or EPS, takes place at an Assurance Maladie health examination centre. It is tailored to your circumstances.
Priority goes to people distant from healthcare or without regular follow-up. It concerns insured people from age 16; your fund clarifies eligibility.
You can contact the centre or your insurance fund without waiting for an invitation. For another insurance scheme, ask your own fund about access.
The EPS is covered without an advance payment. Allow around two hours and confirm preparation instructions, including fasting.
The questionnaire and your risk factors guide which examinations are offered. Everyone is therefore not promised an identical set of tests.
The doctor explains results and next steps. The centre is not a treatment centre: ask which professional should provide subsequent care.
