General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.

Some chemicals at work can present risks during pregnancy. Prevention should be considered as early as possible.

The employer must assess workplace risks and inform employees of pregnancy-related risks, including before an individual disclosure.

Certain tasks involving specifically defined chemical agents are prohibited for pregnant employees; some prohibitions also apply during breastfeeding. The workstation must be examined with the appropriate professionals.

An employee is not required to disclose her pregnancy to her employer. INRS recommends contacting the occupational physician promptly, ideally when planning pregnancy.

After the employer has been informed and consulted, the occupational physician may propose adjustments to the job or working hours as appropriate.

Prepare product names, tasks and conditions of use. Ask occupational health how to assess exposures and the measures to plan.
