Electrical risk prevention training and electrical authorisation are different things.
Authorisation is the employer’s recognition of a worker’s ability to perform assigned tasks safely.
Its scope depends notably on the operation, voltage and conditions of intervention.
Before a new task, have the authorisation and instructions checked against that operation.
Prevention also includes preparation and making the installation safe; INRS prioritises de-energised work with isolation and lockout.
