General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.
A complaint may concern reception or care at a hospital or clinic. The commission des usagers, or CDU, helps uphold your rights.
You can first ask the service manager for explanations. If that is impossible or insufficient, send a written complaint to management.
Check the welcome booklet or institution’s website for contact details. The CDU includes mediators and patient representatives.
Describe events, dates and the response you seek. Keep copies of your letter and replies to follow the process.
Management informs you about access to a mediator. A patient representative can accompany you to the meeting.
The CDU makes recommendations or explains available remedies. A complaint alone does not amount to a compensation decision.
