General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.

Milk, yoghurt, fromage blanc and cheese belong to the dairy group. They provide calcium among other nutrients.

Examples of one portion include 150 ml of milk, 125 g of yoghurt or 30 g of cheese.

Butter and cream mainly provide fat: they do not count as a dairy portion in these recommendations.

Sweet dairy puddings and flans also do not replace a portion of milk or plain yoghurt.

Consumption recommendations depend on age and circumstances. Ameli distinguishes needs before and after age 55: ask a healthcare professional which recommendation suits you.

To review your habits, record your usual products and portions. Have amounts adapted to your age and circumstances.
