Your registered treating doctor coordinates your care and may refer you to a specialist. Before a first consultation, ask which steps apply to the proposed referral.
Some consultations allow direct access for specified reasons. An available appointment alone therefore does not establish the conditions that apply to your coordinated care pathway.
Doctolib may ask which professional referred you. Enter the person responsible for your referral; do not select another name simply to finish the booking.
If the practice uses Doctolib’s telephone assistant, it may also apply a rule requiring a referral letter. Check the instruction that concerns your request.
If you cannot complete the requested referral information, explain the message to reception before confirming. Ask which professional to enter or which document to prepare.
Keep your registered treating doctor’s name ready for the consultation. The receiving doctor records it on the care claim form and shares information with your agreement.
