General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.

Symptoms that persist after Covid deserve a medical conversation. They can fluctuate and disrupt everyday life. The doctor also needs to investigate other explanations: connecting a symptom with a previous infection is not enough to establish a diagnosis.

Record how often difficulties occur, their intensity and duration, and what worsens or improves them. Add dated examples to make the conversation easier to follow.

Describe what has become difficult in your activities, work or social life. Mention other known illnesses and medicines you have taken recently or are currently taking.

Gather test results and reports that are already available, along with your prescriptions. The doctor selects useful investigations after assessing you. Preparing for the consultation does not mean ordering a broad collection of tests yourself.

If a symptom worsens or worries you, tell the doctor without delay. Breathing difficulty that prevents normal speech requires an immediate call to 15 or 112; 114 is available for deaf or hard-of-hearing people.

Your usual doctor remains the first point of contact and can arrange appropriate referrals. Note questions between consultations and agree on follow-up together. This medical care pathway is separate from making an appointment for a vaccination.
