General information, not an individual diagnosis. Ask a healthcare professional if you are unsure about your situation.

Sunbed sessions do not prepare skin for sunshine. They add harmful exposure without providing protection.

For outdoor activities, seek shade and cover your skin. Sunscreen complements the other protective measures; it does not allow longer sun exposure.

Artificial tanning in sunbeds is prohibited for minors in France. Do not consider it preparation for a holiday.

Self-tanning products may colour skin, but the colour provides no UV protection. Keep sun protection measures when going outdoors.

If you have used sunbeds, mention this exposure when discussing your skin, particularly if a lesion appears or changes.
